purdy in pink.

ryan is working out of town this week so i've been taking advantage of the time alone to work on some home projects.  our old rusted medicine cabinet has been driving me crazy so i cleaned and spray-painted it PINK.  we are renters, otherwise we would replace the cabinet and remodel the whole bathroom.  but instead, we are embracing the 1960's pink & grey bathroom and freshen it up with paint and accessories.

so fresh and so clean.

it's the little things, like a coat of paint, that can make a huge impact.
i smile every time i open the cabinet.

love arrows.

Love is not always fireworks, pancakes, and shooting stars.  It’s an adventure!  It’s overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on, and never letting go.  It requires energy, patience, perspective and determination.

Love is hard work, but worth every moment of it.
I was struck by cupid’s arrows 6 years ago and I am happy to be in love.
From the hugs and kisses to the bickering, from the smiles to the tears of laughter.  I am grateful everyday to share this crazy life with the one I love.

I made these arrows with little love notes for my babe.  We don't go all out for valentine's day, we tell and do things everyday to show and celebrate our love, but I couldn't resist making these cute DIY arrows.

We'll celebrate love, friendship and good food tonight with some dear friends.
Dinner at Moxie and Champagne & Dessert at our place.

vroom vroom.

I was totally bummed this morning when I discovered I had accidentally deleted (before downloading) the photos of the diaper motorcycle I made this past Saturday.  Doh!!  Thankfully, I instagram'd it so at least I have the above photo.  I found this awesome tutorial that made it super easy to put together.

It was definitely a hit at the manshower Ryan attended!

p.s. yessss, those are baby's first sunglasses. hehee

just add some ribbon.

We recently purchased some new lamps for our bedroom.  I could not find the exact lampshades we wanted soooooo I purchased plain white ones and added some black ribbon.  I'm currently obsessed with black and white stripes, and all things with the chevron pattern.

It was an easy little project that made a big impact in the room.

All things needed... fabric glue (Jo-Ann's $8), ribbon (purchased 2 for $4, but only used one roll) and plain white lampshade (Target $14).

chalk.

I did my first chalkboard paint project last week and I absolutley love it!!!

I purschased the below jars at Target for $6 each and the can of paint for $5.  Easy and cheap project.

{2 coats of paint}

I filled them with yummy treats for my Hot Cocoa Bar.  After the holidays, I'll fill them with sugar, coffee and tea.  :D
