New Venues

We had a GREAT time Wednesday night checking out 2 new venues downtown, Dive Bar and District 30. 

Mermaids at the Dive Bar.

Interior - brick, wood, velvet/suede couches and crystal chandeliers.  Luvs the decor, and with drinks at $7 a pop, I will definitely frequent this spot.

Ryan and I were invited to be their first guests in that night.  We got a little sneak peek before the club officially opened.  D30 did not disappoint!  Good layout, friendly staff, awesome music.

Korean BBQ

I love all types of food, which makes it hard to decide on what to eat every night.   

As usual, I couldn’t make up my mind last Thursday so I let Ry make the important decision.  Korean BBQ.  This was our first time at Oz and I was very excited to try something new.  All you can eat, grill-it yourself Korean BBQ.  We received an assortment of sides and 5 different meats to grill.  The meats were fantastic, very favorable and tender.

I have 4+ cups of tea a day.  One of the first things I do, after arriving at the office, is make a cup.  Please don’t talk to me before I’ve had my tea!!!

MIEKA!!!  I can’t believe my little girl turned 9 years old last month.  I might've teared up a bit when purchasing her first bag of senior dog food.

deep fryer

alright, i caved.  i bought Ryan a deep fryer.  i was convinced for months that this was a bad idea as thoughts of deep fried twinkies, ice cream and pickles danced around in my head, and images of gaining 30, 40, 50+ pounds haunted my dreams.  Then one day while strolling down the aisles of Costco, a deep fryer practically leaped into my cart... hmmmm OR perhaps Ryan threw it in there.   

we decided to try it out for the first time last week.  deep-fried turkey breast.  delicious. easy.

we can’t wait to use it again.
